How Did The Masters Unfold on Twitter?

Sunday, April 12th, Jordan Spieth became the second youngest player to win the coveted green jacket at The Masters in Augusta, Georgia.

Masters Week kicked off on the 9th with the Par-3 contest where One Direction’s Niall Horan was the talk of Twitter as he caddied for Rory McIlroy. As soon as the tournament started, Spieth stole the show as the wire-to-wire leader.

The most talked about day was Masters Sunday followed by the Par-3 contest on Wednesday which included tweets from many One Direction fans.

Sixty eight percent of tweeters of The Master are men, 25% of tweeters are between the ages of 18 and 34. These tweeters are golf enthusiasts as they like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Bubba Watson as well as brands like Taylormade, Golf Channel, and Cobra Golf.

Jordan Spieth dominated the Twitter conversation Sunday evening with 878K tweets and 2850 tweets per minute at the peak (when he was announced the winner)
