The 2015 Stanley Cup Finals are underway between the Chicago Blackhawks and Tampa Bay Lightning.

We analyzed users that follow at least one NHL team on Twitter, the key findings are below

  • 66% are men
  • 32% are between 18–34
  • Users are 89x more likely to like Don Cherry compared to the Twitter average
  • Users are 4.42x more likely to like NHL sponsor, Gatorade, compared to the average.

We then ranked all teams by how influential they are on Twitter based on our metric, Twitter Pull, which measures influence compared to the average account. The most influential team is Chicago, they are 1,033 more influential than the average Twitter account. See the full list here.
