Chevrolet is the perfect example of Real Time Marketing done right.
When the Giants won the World Series, Chevrolet presented the MVP, Madison Bumgarner, with a new Chevy Colorado that has “Technology and Stuff”. The Chevrolet representative, now known at “Chevy Guy”, gave a speech that sent the internet crazy.
Chevy capitalized on this momentum by incorporating #Technologyandstuff into their social marketing, even sending out a promoted tweet.
This wasn’t Chevrolet trying to be relevant to National Cat Day, or the Oscars, or the World Cup. This was a brand that took an event relevant to them, the World Series, and built momentum off of it for Chevy Guy’s moment of fame. Well Done.
