Season 7 of NBC’s The Voice came to a dramatic end last night as Team Blake’s Craig Wayne Boyd was crowned the winner.
The odds were stacked against Boyd as Team Adam had 3 team members in the finale, but it turns out 99% of The Voice social audience like country music.
Veterans, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine take #1 and #2 as favorite judges and Top Celebrities of The Voice’s social audience. There was a 19% increase in affinity toward Shelton throughout the season and a 11% increase toward Levine.
Newcomers Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani take #3 and #4 favorite judges, Williams is the 26th favorite celebrity while Stafani is 42nd overall. These two experienced the largest increase in the affinity toward them over the season, with Williams’ affinity increasing 33.8% and Stefani, 28.7%.
Host Carson Daly ends the season as the 17th favorite celebrity and saw an affinity increase of 22% during season 7.
The Voice secured big name sponsors for this season, Starbucks, Nissan, Kohls, and Sprint, and Beats by Dre featured The Voice contestants in some promotions. Throughout the season, Sprint saw a brand lift of 11% from the social audience while Kohls saw a 4% increase. Starbucks fell 2 spots to the 18th favorite brand among this audience and despite all the promotions Nissan launch this season, the affinity stayed the same through the season. Beats by Dre saw a 13% decrease in the audience’s affinity to the brand.
