Social News: Twitter Updates

Mar 27, 2014 | Press

Twitter has announced changes to their platform, which would make them look more like Facebook. Twitter users can now upload multiple photos to one post and tag up to 10 other users all without taking away from the allotted 140 characters.

The initiative is created to acquire more users for Twitter but at what cost?

Current users love Twitter because of the 140 character limit, the ability to see lots of information in digestible lengths, and the ability to connect with anyone on the platform. More photos mean less information at a glance. And tagging tons of friends will not foster that social networking for new users.

With these changes and changes hinted from Twitter last week, will this make users flock to Twitter or focus on the “next big thing”?
